press & pull

Thank you to all who came to the 'press & pull' opening on Tuesday night, Kate and myself both had a great evening.

PRESS & PULL

Myself and Kate Gibb are having a small show called 'press & pull'. Kate is a screenprint artist (pull) and I will be showing some lino cuts (press).
The show is at The Ada Street Gallery, 2a Ada Street, London E8 4 QE.
Private View- Tuesday 26th August 2008, 6pm -9pm
Show open daily 12pm-7pm, Wednesday 27th- Sun 31st.

Subterranean Homesick Blues

I have made a linocut called 'Cue Cards', (with a little help from Bob Dylan, Donovan, Allen Ginsberg and Bob Neuwirth).

The Broadway Bookshop

I have just put some prints up in The Broadway Bookshop on Broadway Market in Hackney.

Exercise book

I found this old cover of a school book from 1961 in a junk shop.

I liked it so much I have made a screen print of it so you can all have one!

Mapograph Major

Just printed a world map from my 'Mapograph Major- World Mercator'.
A relief map on a roller, ink it up, roll it on paper and hey presto!

Hot off the press.

I am trying out my new (old) Stephenson Blake proofing press with a new linocut.
Pressure seems to be a problem, but when I have perfected it, expect to see lots more linocuts!
